January 1
"I'll go ahead of you, clearing and paving the road" (Isaiah
45:2, MSG).
At the beginning of every year, Believers
should expect great things because God has already seen the
future and made provision. Expect opportunities to increase in
every area of your life.
January 2 "Acquaint now
thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto
thee" (Job 22:21).
Make an effort to cultivate a personal
relationship with God through His Word. You will lack nothing
good that your heavenly Father desires you to have. Your mind
will be at ease regardless of your circumstances, because you
have become rooted in knowing God's character of love and will
have strong faith to overcome all obstacles.
January 3
"The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations"
(2 Peter 2:9).
As Christians, we must understand that
temptation, or pressure applied to our thinking, is designed to
separate us from God. When you are tempted to sin, understand
that God is available to help you resist, if you turn to Him for
strength.
January 4 "Behold, I am coming soon, and I
shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to
each one just what his own actions and his own work merit"
(Revelations 22:12, AMP).
Jesus has personally promised
to reward you for living a life that is sold out for Him.
Believers who live according to the standard of God's Word can
expect a wonderful future.
January 5 "For thus saith
the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest
shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your
strength" (Isaiah 30:15).
God desires His children to
realize that our strength comes from our firm reliance on His
ability and not our own. A person who trusts in God can remain
confident in the midst of trouble.
January 6 "GOD,
your God, is right there with you, fighting with you against
your enemies, fighting to win" (Deuteronomy 20:4, MSG).
As your Father, God will intervene on your behalf when your
enemies come against you. Nothing Satan does to harm you can
withstand the power of God.
January 7 "But thou shalt
remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power
to get wealth" (Deuteronomy 8:18).
God has given you the
ability to obtain wealth. All you have to do is receive that
ability by faith and follow His directions.
January 8
"My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He will pluck my feet out
of the net" (Psalm 25:15, AMP).
Many times we fall into
traps that will overwhelm us emotionally if we lose focus of God
and His Word. We can be assured that as we keep our minds on
God, He will always give us the wisdom we need to escape the
traps of the enemy.
January 9 "Then Jesus turned to
the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. "If you stick with
this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure.
Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth
will free you" (John 8:31-32, MSG).
Make a decision to
continue down the path of development in your walk with God.
Don't give up, even when you feel you can't go on. He will bring
you through to victory.
January 10 "And God saw
everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good
(suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely" (Genesis
1:31, AMP).
Everything God created is good. When He
created you, He designed you to be a reflection of His goodness.
January 11 "Casting the whole of your care [all your
anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for
all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about
you watchfully" (1 Peter 5:7, AMP).
God desires for you
to live free from worry. Placing your cares in the hands of God
is the most responsible thing you can do and shows Him that you
trust Him with the affairs of your life.
January 12
"Wealth and Glory accompany me—also substantial Honor and a Good
Name" (Proverbs 8:18, MSG).
God's wisdom—the Word of
God—is the pathway to wealth and honor. Follow it and you'll
experience the good life God has planned for you.
January
13 "A wise man's heart turns him toward his right hand, but a
fool's heart toward his left" (Ecclesiastes 10:2, AMP).
Wisdom will keep you on the right track. Don't be a fool and
ignore the instruction of God's Word.
January 14 "A
friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity"
(Proverbs 17:17).
The essence of a true friend is someone
who stands by your side through thick and thin.
January
15 "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above
rubies" (Proverbs 31:10).
A godly man will seek a woman
who has character and whose virtue stems from her intimate
relationship with God.
January 16 "The LORD is my
light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the
strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).
The Believer who knows God will never be ruled by fear.
January 17 "He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness..." (Psalm 23:3).
Trust God to
give you restoration and lead you down His path. He'll never
steer you wrong.
January 18 "Let the words of my
mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy
sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer" (Psalm 19:14).
God wants the words you speak to reflect purity in your
heart. Keep your thought life focused on His commandments,
instead of sinful indulgence.
January 19 "Yet You have
made him but a little lower than God...and You have crowned him
with glory and honor" (Psalm 8:5, AMP).
As part of the
human race, you have been designed to rule and reign on earth.
You have been made in His image and likeness, so act like it!
January 20 "Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine
integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall
not slide" (Psalm 26:1).
When you walk in integrity, God
will not allow you to slip or fall.
January 21 "Know
ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God
dwelleth in you?" (1 Corinthians 3:16).
The Spirit of God
lives inside of you. For this reason, it is important that you
keep yourself from sin.
January 22 "Don't be so naive
and self-confident. You're not exempt. You could fall flat on
your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about
self-confidence; it's useless. Cultivate God-confidence" (1
Corinthians 10:12, MSG).
Always remember that God is your
Source. Refuse to walk in pride or take credit for what He has
done in your life.
January 23 "And every man that
striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things..." (1
Corinthians 9:25).
God expects us to put forth the effort
in our spiritual training. A lack of self-control leads to
spiritual ruin. Press into spiritual maturity by practicing the
Word of God and cultivating His love in your life.
January 24 "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted
of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he
any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his
own lust, and enticed" (James 1:13-14).
Some Christians
incorrectly believe that God will tempt them with sin to test
their devotion to Him. However, God is not the tempter. We
become vulnerable to sin when we give attention to Satan's
suggestions.
January 25 "Not forsaking the assembling
of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting
one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day
approaching" (Hebrews 10:25).
Going to church helps you
grow as a Believer and gives you opportunities to share God's
love with others. He develops you through the relationships you
cultivate through church fellowship.
January 26
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he
will flee from you" (James 4:7).
When you submit to the
Word, the devil has no choice but to leave you alone. God is
honored when you choose His Word over everything else.
January 27 "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get
wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding" (Proverbs
4:7).
True wisdom comes from the Word of God. Make
reading and studying the Bible your priority, and you will have
access to every promise from Him.
January 28 "Let us
hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole duty of man" (Ecclesiastes
12:13).
Your primary responsibilities are to respect,
revere and obey the Lord. The root to your victory is loving God
and others.
January 29 "Ye are of God, little
children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is
in you, than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
Believers have the advantage over those who do not have a
personal relationship with God. With the Holy Spirit in you
helping you to operate in God's kingdom, you are unstoppable!
January 30 "Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I
beseech thee, send now prosperity" (Psalm 118:25).
God
operates in the "now zone." He wants you to prosper receive the
empowerment He has given you through Jesus and employ it by
faith, now!
January 31 "O Give thanks unto the Lord;
call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people"
(Psalm 105:1).
One key to receiving from God is to
continually give Him thanks for what He has already done for
you. The best way to show God you appreciate Him is by being
grateful. Express the goodness of God to those around you daily
and watch your breakthroughs increase!
